Peer counselling offers a supportive and safe space where you can talk about your worries without judgment or pressure. When coming to me, you do not need to be „fine“ or know exactly what to say – a desire to receive support is enough.
I support you in coping with anxiety and panic, overcoming addictions, and adjusting to grief and loss. In addition, also when someone close to you has an ADHD diagnosis.
I am here as a listening and understanding person, helping you to make sense of your experiences and find ways to cope better in everyday life.
My work is based on real-life experience, empathy and the belief that change begins with a secure connection.

People who can turn to me:
Appointments are for all people, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, background or life story. Every experience is different and every person deserves to be heard.
It is my personal experience that helps me understand, not judge. I do not offer quick fixes or „right answers,“ but I am there for you as you seek clarity, support, and new ways to move forward. Read more about my journey.

To a greater or lesser extent, I felt anxiety as early as childhood. I remember how I always felt nauseous before competitions. Back then, I didn't know how to name that feeling as anxiety. In adulthood, anxiety flared up very strongly again and eventually panic attacks arrived. Through therapy, medication and my own inner work, I overcame anxiety and haven't had panic attacks for years.

To ”relieve” anxiety and depression, I often found help in alcohol and drugs, because then I felt confident. In reality, this did me more harm than good, because the anxiety the day after a party was multiplied several times over. In addition, I also found relief from anxiety in casinos. If only intoxicants help to relieve inner pain, you may find help in counselling.

In 2012–13, I lost my grandparents to strokes within a short space of time, and I was by my grandmother's side when she took her last breath. I felt alone with my grief. I didn't know how or want to ask for help, and I suppressed my feelings for years. However, grief stayed with me for years and was one of the main reasons why I developed an anxiety disorder. Grief can also be the end of a (friend)ship, the loss of a pet, or the departure of a loved one.

Is a loved one running late and constantly postponing plans? Does it sometimes take days to reply to messages? Are there more ideas and plans than you can keep track of? Do they start by tidying a cupboard, but the next moment they are painting the ceiling? You probably feel that you are not on the same wavelength and that your loved one is emotionally distant or even ignoring you. This might not be the case, as your loved one's brain chemistry works differently. I can support you in understanding your loved one and making sense of their behaviour.
Peer counselling is an individual conversation conducted at a calm pace, where you can talk about your experience in a safe and non-judgmental space. My role is to listen, make sense of what is happening together with you, and support you in coping with anxiety, panic attacks, addictions, or grief.
Individual peer counselling · frequency and duration are specified at the first meeting according to your needs.
At our first meeting we'll get to know each other and discuss what you would like to focus on. You don't need to know exactly what to say – a desire to come and get started is enough. We'll see together whether this approach to counselling feels right for you.
NB! Good practice
